Warren Cay
Imagine an 8 year old kid and his brother racing on the velodrome in 1972; that was Warren. In following years Warren's cycling skill grew quickly. His mentors included his father and some of the famous professional riders of the era. Warren was soon an accomplished junior racer. At 15 years old Warren was one of the first professional BMX racers and trick riders in Australia. It was a huge experience; sponsors were generous and BMX riding was lucrative. Warren's strong foundation in BMX racing made his transition to the new sport of Mountain Bike racing an immediate success. While his performance was outstanding in the Downhill category Warren's all-round talent meant he was a contender in Cross-Country and Trials too. He rode A grade road races for fitness. After 30 years of racing he had done it all.
Last in the line of bike shops Warren has owned is bikeNOW in South Melbourne and St Kilda, Australia. It's one of the largest and arguably the coolest bike store in the country. Warren’s company also organises mountain bike tours and training courses, and women-specific riding groups where the focus is on helping people achieve new goals. Warren is an out-door education lecturer and has guided cycling tours to see le Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. If you need help on a bike, he is the best resource you can find.

Peter Horsley
Peter has spent thirty years organising bike rides ranging from jaunts for children's groups to multi-day challenges for thousands. He works, and sometimes cycles, on events in Australia, Africa, Europe and the U.K. Racing has never been his thing but riding across an Australian desert or pedalling 1000km in a couple of days puts a twinkle in his eye.

The Polka Dot Tour combines Warren and Peter’s enthusiasm for helping people realise their cycling aspirations. On the road Peter admires Warren’s turn of pace; Warren plans to burn Peter's cycling wardrobe before this year's Polka Dot Tour; red and black check lumberjack jersey and see through blue knicks.. it's just wrong!
