Polka Dot Tour–Tour de France
PDT12 TdF, 14 Days, 10th–23rd July 2012. Meet in Paris then follow the TdF through the mountains back to Paris.
*Final details of the Tour de France route are not releaased until June 2012. We'll stick to this basic plan althought some adjustments may be made.
We plan a slightly longer tour this year to catch more of the TdF in the mountains. Our Paris start is convenient for travellers flying in and a fast train will whip us to the heart of action. Three days near the Alpes will see use close to classic climbs like Col de Madeleine before heading South West to the Pyrenees. From our Pyrenees hotel base we'll see the TdF cross the Tourmalet and dip into Spain. Post-race there will be time to be amazed by Lourdes. We'll use a flat race stage to rush up to Paris ready for the final time trial and Champs Eleysee finish.

A breakaway climbs Col de Glandon with Mt Blanc behind.
